With over a decade of practice as a construction lawyer, Tim has extensive experience in both corporate and private practice. Prior to joining HITT, Tim held in-house legal positions with a variety of stakeholders in the construction industry, including an owner, a specialty trade contractor, and a surety company, and he began his legal career at a construction litigation law firm. Tim was promoted to vice president in 2020 and currently leads HITT's legal and risk management department. In his role, Tim provides executive oversight to a team of insurance, contracts, and legal professionals. He is heavily involved in the review, preparation, and negotiation of contracts and claims. Tim also manages outside legal counsel and litigation support, assists with the development and implementation of corporate policies and training programs, and he offers legal support on a wide array of operational issues. Tim is also a member of the company’s Enterprise Governance Committee.
